A BTB LFN 405 gr over a good dose of 3031. The recoil was more than a little "snappy", more like "brisk" and exhilarating to say the least. In my Marlin 1895 the same load is pretty "snappy". This fast-burning rifle powder gives outstanding performance in cartridges like the 222 Remington, 221 Fireball, 45-70, and 450 Marlin.
